Melody J. Ravert

Melody Ravert was born in 1961 and raised in Baltimore, Maryland, to parents who served in War World II. Although she has lived in various towns in both Anne Arundel and Baltimore Counties, Melody has resided in Maryland all her life.

She wrote her first book, "Shadow of Death" at the age of forty. Ten years later, she has written eight books, several e-books, and numerous short stories and articles. She started her own self-publishing company in January 2009.

Nominated a 'VIP Woman of the Year' by the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW), Melody Ravert is available for speaking engagements and writer's workshops.

She is a member of the Maryland Writers' Association and has served as a judge for the Frontiers in Writing Contest, sponsored by the Panhandle Professional Writers.

She lives in Baltimore, Maryland with her daughter, two cats and a dog.
