Tina Maschi

Tina Maschi, PhD, LCSW, ACSW is a full professor at the Fordham University Graduate School of Social Service in New York City and licensed clinical social work with advanced certification. Her research and practice are at the intersection of aging, trauma, mental health, and criminal justice. Dr. Maschi is a practitioner scholar with over 80 peer reviewed journal publications, book chapters, and books, including ‘Forensic Social Work’ published by Springer Publishing. In 2010, she was the recipient of the competitive Hartford Geriatric Social Work Faculty Scholars Program Award, which was funded by the Hartford Foundation for the research project, “Trauma, coping resources, and well-being among older adults in prison.” She has received funding for intramural and extramural grants for forensic research and practice- oriented grants. Dr. Maschi also has published in the area of older adults involved in the criminal justice system, particularly related to life course trauma and stress and resilience among older adults in before, during, and after prison. She is the principal investigator of two reentry studies for vulnerable populations in multiple states and the principal investigator for an arts program for juveniles with mental health issues and their families that are involved in the juvenile justice system. Dr. Maschi has over 15 year of experience in juvenile and adult correctional healthcare settings as a clinical social worker. She conducts professional training and research at the local, national, and international locations.
