Denise Taylor

Dr Denise Taylor is a Chartered Psychologist, later-life researcher, and internationally published author whose work explores life beyond midlife, moving beyond narrow retirement narratives towards purpose, wellbeing, and reflection.

With over 25 years’ experience supporting career and life transitions, she has written extensively on work, identity, and ageing. Her books include Career Coaching for Midlife and Beyond (2025), Rethinking Retirement for Positive Ageing (2023), and Find Work at 50+ (2016). Her doctoral research into meaning after full-time work won the Research by a Career Development Professional award in 2024.

Her forthcoming book, ThriveSpan: Walking Gently Into What Matters Now, charts a more conscious path through later life, integrating psychology, lived experience, and reflection. She writes the Substack newsletter Ageing Reimagined and is a regular contributor to the i Paper.
