June lives in the Capitol district of New York with her husband, Robert. Both are former Marines. They had five children and eight grandchildren. She has traveled extensively and lived in eight states, including Hawaii (aloooha). June is retired from New York State Civil Service.
Her hobbies include painting (commissioned portraits and more); sculpting in clay; Little Theatre and Summer Stock productions; wrote a two-act play and directed/produced it. Until she lost the use of her left hand/arm due to cancer, she played piano and guitar. She published a poem in the 1999 anthology, The Whirling Sea. She has done volunteer work since very young; licked stamps for a WWII volunteer group with her mother; accosted by a petulant Tarantula in the Brooklyn Children's Museum, she ended her efforts there; spent many years attending her children's games (sometimes splitting herself between venues); belonged to Artists' Associations; School Board member; Literacy volunteer; and chorale groups.
