Dr. Narindra Nath Puri was Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, for more than 38 years. His research areas included Applied Mathematics, Control Systems and Antenna Theory. Prior to Rutgers, Dr. Puri taught as an Associate Professor at Drexel University and as an Assistant Professor at the University of Pennsylvania. Outside academia, Dr. Puri's distinguished career took him to the General Electric Missile and Spacecraft Division in Valley Forge, Pennsylvania, the U.S. Army White Sands Missile Range in New Mexico and ABB in Baden, Switzerland.
Dr. Puri earned his B.S., from the Indian Institute of Technology, M.S. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Pennsylvania, where he also served as a Harrison Research Fellow. He passed away in December 2015.
