Dan Anderson

Dan Anderson was born in 1945 in Vidalia, GA. After graduating from The University of the South with a B.A. in History, he obtained his MBA from California Lutheran College. He served in Vietnam as a member of the Americal Infantry Division. He took early retirement from The Prudential Insurance Company after 30 years service as VP, Information Systems and began his writing career.

His first novel, Bad Vibrations, has received 5 literary awards which include the Independent Publishers IPPY Award-Silver Medal, Best Regional Fiction, the Florida Writers Association Royal Palm Award-First Place Published Mystery,the Books & Authors Murder Mystery Book of the Year, The FWA Lighthouse Book Award and several others.

Death Cruise, his second mystery published in 2010, won the Florida Writers Association Royal Palm Award-First Place Unpublished Mystery and the Royal Dragonfly Book Award, Mystery, Second Place.

His third mystery, Vietnam Vindication, was published in July 2012. All of Dan's mysteries have been optioned by Hollywood for motion picture production.

Dan enjoys reading poetry - particularly Philip Larkin, Chateau Margaux, traveling, collecting old mysteries, making sushi, listening to jazz and classical music on his IPOD, and watching film noir flicks and Humphrey Bogart classics.
