Michael Loyd Gray

Michael Loyd Gray is the author of ten published books of fiction and more than sixty published short stories. His novel The Writer in Residence was released in April 2026. A short story collection, The Space Between Now and Then, was released in May 2026 by Silent Clamor in Los Angeles. His novel Emperor of the Mundane will be released by Regal House in 2027. Gray earned a MFA from Western Michigan University, where he was a Phi Kappa Phi National Honor Society scholar, and a bachelor's degree from the University of Illinois. Hiis earlier novels/novellas include Well Deserved, Donovan's Revolution, Busted Flat, the Armageddon Two-Step, The Canary, The Last Stop, and Night Hawks.

Born in Jonesboro, Arkansas, Michael Loyd Gray grew up in Champaign, Illinois, and now lives in Kalamazoo, Michigan, with three wily cats and a lot of electric guitars. He is a fan of the Chicago Bears, University of Illinois football, The Beatles, and the Rolling Stones. His favorite saying is, "The more you overtake the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the drain."
