Fibi Ward was born in 1994 in Birmingham, UK. She has been writing stories since she was three years old and at the age of nine she set her hopes on becoming a published author. In January 2008, at the age of 13, she was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes. Her first published book, No Added Sugar, is about her experiences of coming to terms with type 1 diabetes. No Added Sugar (published by Hammersmith Press Ltd) was released on 28th May 2009.
She is 14 at the time of writing this and lives in Hollywood, near Birmingham, with her parents and brother Robert.
Fibi has been on BBC Breakfast and Sky News among other radio, websites and newspapers to talk about No Added Sugar.
