Ted Biringer

Zen writer and practitioner, Ted Biringer draws on over 20 years of study, practice and experience to share the liberating message of the classic Zen masters.

He is the author of The Flatbed Sutra of Louie Wing: The Second Ancestor of Zen in the West, published by American Book Publishing. It presents the classic Zen teachings through a fictional modern day Zen master. The book is inspired by, and written in the style of the classic Zen Platform Sutra.

Father and husband, Ted Biringer works as a captain for The Washington State Ferries.
