Elliott Almond

Elliott Almond is an Olympics and sports investigative journalist who has worked for the Los Angeles Times, Seattle Times and San Jose Mercury News. He has been nominated for the Pulitzer Prize three times and has won numerous national writing awards. His lifelong passion for surfing has led to epic road trips along the California coastline. When not chasing the perfect wave, he can be found in Patagonia exploring the cordillera of the rugged, snow-capped Andes or foraging through the giant redwoods in the far reaches of California's Humboldt and Del Notre counties.
