Walter Santucci

Walter Santucci is an animation director, professor, author and composer currently residing in Los Angeles, CA. In 1987, while still a student, he began his career when Cinemax featured his first animated film on a series hosted by Monty Python's Graham Chapman. Since then, he's been making award winning, critically acclaimed shorts, commercials, TV shows, movie titles and music videos that have been seen all over the world.

His writings on animation have appeared in Animation Magazine as well as various publications of ASIFA (The International Animated Film Society). He has directed and animated projects for ABC, Fox, Noggin, Nickelodeon, Warner Brothers, Klasky Csupo, Marvel Entertainment, MGM/Mirage and Spike TV and has worked with and animated such celebrities as the B-52s, Ice Cube, Cameron Diaz, Ice T, Adam West and Cedric the Entertainer.

A great many of Walter's independent short films have been praised in the international press and have screened at such prestigious venues as the Annecy Animation Festival in France, the Museum of Contemporary Art in San Diego, the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco and Channel 4 in the U.K. His edgier material has been a staple of the Spike and Mike Festival of Animation for two decades.

Currently Walter is a professor of animation at California State University Los Angeles and is in preproduction with his first feature length animated film.
