Bernard C. Turner

Bernard Turner is a Chicago historian and author of books about Chicago neighborhoods and children's stories. He is a volunteer interpreter at the Chicago History Museum and a Chicago Professional Tour Guide. Books by Turner include "A View of Bronzeville", "Chicago Neighborhoods with Flavor--Getting Out of the Loop", and "The Windies' City--Chicago's Historical Hidden Treasures", co-authored with Greg Borzo and Suzanne Haynes. Children's stories include "TJ and the Mysterious Stranger", "Our Chicago--People and Places", and most recently, "Science Makes Friends", richly illustrated by Jose Aleman.
