Geoff Barton

Since I became an English teacher in 1985, I've been writing articles and books about English. More recently, during 15 years as headteacher, I have been writing about leadership and literacy.

As one of the early school inspectors, George Sampson, said in 1921: "Every teacher IN English is a teacher OF English". I hope my work has helped teachers and students alike to develop their love of English, their knowledge and proficiency.
