Judith C. Reveal

Judith (Judy) Reveal was born in Chicago where libraries, reading, and writing have always been her passion. She spent 40 years wandering the corridors of Corporate America, where business writing honed her skills, including editing, proofing, and just plain writing. She has taught creative writing and currently freelances as a manuscript editor and book indexer. She is active in a variety of organizations, including the Eastern Shore Writers' Association, Maryland Writers Association, Bay To Ocean Writers' Conference, Caroline County Council of the Arts, and Editorial Freelancers Association She is a past member of American Society for Indexing (ASI), ACES, and NAIWE.

Judy works with writers as an editor and coach and has edited over 100 manuscripts, many of which have gone on to publication. She also assists with self-publishing. She is familiar with APA, CMoS, and AP style guides.

She has published short stories in local, regional, and national magazines and currently has seven books published. Her novels include the historical World War II novel: "The Brownstone,"; The Lindsey Gale Mystery Series including: "ˆThe Writer'sBloc," "The Music Room," and "A House to Kill For"; and a paranormal novel "Crossroads." Her nonfiction books include: "The Four Elements of Fiction: A Writer's Guide to Character, Setting, Situation, and Theme," and "Around Greensboro" (Arcadia Publishing).

Judy is the Past President of the Eastern Shore Writers' Association and the Maryland Writers Association. She sat on the development committee for the Bay to Ocean Writers' Conference (BTO) that serves the writers of the Delmarva Peninsula, Eastern Shore for twenty years. She is the recipient of the Legacy Award at the Bay to Ocean Writers Conference for her promotion of Literature on the Eastern Shore, and she has received recognition from the Caroline County Arts Council and San Antonio Writers Group for her writing efforts. She is currently a book reviewer for the New York Journal of Books and the Managing Editor for "Crisis, Stress, and Human Resilience: An International Journal" - an academic journal for the International Critical.
