Michael Weeks

Hi! My name is Michael Weeks. My passion for the road has taken me across tens of thousands of miles in search of the living roots of U.S. history. My experiences have led me to write my Civil War Road Trip Guides, all of which are geared toward helping and encouraging you to find your own roads and discover these places for yourself. Nothing will open your eyes to the joy and the importance of exploring our past like being there. My experiences and my books will help you do that.

I live in the South Loop neighborhood of Chicago, Illinois, with my wife and fellow road companion, Charlotte. I am a former board member of the Chicago Civil War Round Table and the Camp Douglas Restoration Foundation.
