Dr. Randi Fredricks, Ph.D., is a best-selling author, published researcher, and psychotherapist whose work has explored psychology, relationships, complementary and alternative approaches to mental health, and exceptional human experience for more than three decades.
Her research began in the early 1990s with an investigation of family dysfunction and intimacy, examining the relationship between early family experiences and adults' capacity for intimate relationships. Her later research expanded into complementary and alternative approaches to psychological well-being, including the relationship between fasting and mental health.
Dr. Fredricks is the author of four books: Fasting: An Exceptional Human Experience, Healing & Wholeness: Complementary and Alternative Therapies for Mental Health, Complementary and Alternative Treatments for Anxiety, and Complementary and Alternative Treatments for Depression. Her writing brings together psychological research, clinical experience, and an enduring interest in the ways people heal, connect, and create meaningful lives.
