Donna started out as a dancer, graduated from Rutgers University with a degree in dance and then moved into the corporate world. After working for top companies like Chanel and Goldman Sachs, and earning a graduate degree in Organizational Behavior and Human Resource Management, and an advanced degree in Workplace Education from New York University, she started her own consulting company serving much of the beauty/fashion industry and Wall Street. While there she wrote Surviving Dreaded Conversations for McGraw-Hill.
Dancing though, remained a constant in Donna’s life, the outgrowth of which was Lastics, a stretch and flexibility technique inspired by her love for movement. Pulling directly from the years she spent dancing, she devised a way to help people improve their flexibility by using principles dancers use to stay lean and limber. Her class launched at Joffrey Ballet School in New York City and then went to The Joffrey Academy of Ballet in Chicago. Currently Donna teaches at New York Health and Racquet Club, Broadway Dance Center, Steps on Broadway and Cal-a-Vie Health Spa in San Diego. Lastics Stretch Technique was names one of the best stretch classes in the country.
It was just after Donna began teaching Lastics that she became ill and had to begin the process of healing. This involved a massive lifestyle change, which included leaving her corporate life behind. As she got better, and appreciating health more than ever, she decided to go back, full-time, to her life-long passion for dance. Using dance as the foundation and the nutrition principals she used to recover, she formed Lastics Stretch Technique and Lastics Handmade Natural Body Products, a company that focuses on healthy bodies, minds and hearts, wellness and happiness.
