Scott Arnold

Dr. Scott T. Arnold has been a pastor for over 40 years. He is Senior Pastor at First Baptist Church of Los Angeles, California.

His focus has been primarily in Urban Ministry. He is an artist, author, song writer.

Dr. Arnold received his doctorate in ministry in "Triad Discipleship Ministry" from Luther Rice University in Lithonia, Georgia. Scott is the author of "Come Follow Jesus" and "Soul Fruit: Bearing Blessings through Cancer", and ministers to people facing cancer. He has a Masters of Divinity from Northern Baptist Theological Seminary in Chicago, where he also graduated from the Seminary Consortium in Urban Pastoral Education (SCUPE). Scott is a graduate of Michigan State University, with a B.S. in Urban Planning.

Dr. Arnold is also the author of "What Did Jesus Know? Matthew 24 & 25 End Times and Judgment", "Prelude: The Kingdom of God", and coauthor of "Shine: A Celebration of Spiritual Gifts" with Brad Parrish. Dr. Arnold is currently working on several new books "Pure Discipleship: The Sermon on the Mount" and "Prayer Life: Thriving in Troubled Times".

Scott is a loving husband to Marilyn Penacerrada Arnold RN, and a father of three grown up sons, Mark, Thom, and John. Currently he is pastor of Union Church of Quincy, Michigan (a union of Baptist and Presbyterian churches). He has served within the American Baptist Churches, and has taught Theology for Ministry Certification programs.
