Jean F. Capron

Jean Flint Capron's life (1924 - 2016) was an American story. She came of age in an upper-middle-class family, during the American Depression of the 1930s. While her brothers and fiancé were on the war front during World War II, she was involved in the homefront effort. Following that, she would raise seven children while helping to run the family dairy farm. She always wanted to be an author, and with the guidance of Walter Edmonds (author of the novel, "Drums Along The Mohawk"), she became a writer of short stories for periodicals ranging from "Mike Shayne Mystery Magazine" to "True Confessions." This would lead to her publishing ten novels over her lifetime. Though her short stories were aimed at the adult market, she wanted her books to be wholesome for the younger readers market.
