Candace Simar

Candace Simar is a poet and writer who combines her love of history with her Scandinavian heritage. Her historical novels include Abercrombie Trail, Pomme de Terre, Birdie, Blooming Prairie, Shelterbelts, and Follow Whiskey Creek. The Glory of Ordinary Time is a short story collection.

Simar's work has been recognized with a Spur Award, Spur Award Finalist, Willa Literary Award Finalist, Midwest Book Award Finalist, Laura Awards, Peacemaker Award, and Will Rogers Medallions, National Federation of State Poetry Societies, League of Minnesota Poets, and Writer's Digest.
