Lisa M. Budreau

Lisa M. Budreau (nee Budrow), received her doctorate from St. Antony's College, Oxford, England, in March 2006. Hers has been a circuitous life journey, one that has included living and working in Europe for many years, as well as Japan. Prior to becoming a writer and historian, Lisa worked in museums in the US and England.

Budreau has travelled the world for years, visiting cemeteries, archives and battlefields--the results of her pilgrimages are apparent in her recent publication, "Bodies of War." She's been an Anglo-American since 1994 when she was granted British citizenship, although she currently resides in the U.S.

In March 2011, she was appointed Vice President of Collections & Education and Chief Historian of the National World War I Museum in Kansas City, MO.
