Glenn O'Donnell

Glenn O'Donnell is a Vice President and Research Director at Forrester Research, leading the teams changing the world with research into infrastructure, cloud computing, and automation. He is widely regarded as a top thought leader in technology development, service management, operations, and the broader social implications of technology evolution. Glenn's specialties are in automation, infrastructure engineering, cloud computing, and operational excellence. He has been a leading IT practitioner, innovator, and visionary since 1980, always pursuing improvements on the status quo.

Glenn is the co-author of The CMDB Imperative, a book that is causing a major shift in how we understand, manage, and benefit from configuration information. Prior to Forrester, he was a major force in transforming EMC's resource management software business as a marketing lead and strategic contributor. He is also a former META Group analyst.
