Sergio Cremaschi

Sergio Cremaschi (Bergamo, Feb 17, 1949) was educated at the Classical Gymnasium ‘Paolo Sarpi’ in Bergamo and then at the Catholic University, Milan, where he received his degree of ‘Dottore in Filosofia’ in 1971. He spent two years in Somalia as a preparatory school teacher, was a research fellow at the Catholic University and Venice University, Senior Lecturer at the Catholic University from 1981 to 1992, Reader of Philosophy of Religion at Ferrara University from 1992, of Moral Philosophy at Turin University from 1993 and the ‘Amedeo Avogadro’ University at Vercelli from 1997 to 2014 when he retired. Besides, he had teaching or research temporary positions at the New School for Social Research, New York, the Institute for Advanced Studies at the Hebrew University at Jerusalem, LUISS at Rome, Prague College, University of La Laguna, Sevilla University, Córdoba University, Aarhus University and Nuffield College at Oxford.
