Danielle Metcalfe-Chenail

Danielle Metcalfe-Chenail is a multi-passionate and award-winning author, editor and speaker. She's probably best known for her nonfiction picture books Alis the Aviator and Freddie the Flyer (Tundra Books), and she’s working on two new historical kidlit projects for Atlantic Canadian publishers. Danielle is also the author of several books for grownups (For the Love of Flying and Polar Winds) and edited the critically-acclaimed essay collection, In This Together: Fifteen Stories of Truth and Reconciliation.

Danielle loves getting lost in research, travelling, and going on adventures with her little family. It makes it all the sweeter when she's reading fireside (or seaside) in her Nova Scotia/Mi'kma'ki home.
