Jason Ney was born in Kansas City, MO and grew up in Milwaukee, WI. He earned a B.A. in Biology and received his Masters in Landscape Architecture from Ball State University. He is a licensed landscape architect in Texas, Wisconsin, and Illinois. He currently works for the City of Dallas as the Park and Recreation Department's Park Planner and Acquisitions Manager.
From a very early age he has nurtured a love of nature. He spent his boyhood summers in northwestern Wisconsin (between Danbury and Webster) on his family's 80-acre property, which included an eight-acre lake, northern forests, and prairie. Days were spent catching leopard frogs and painted turtles, tending gardens, clearing jack pine in the prairie, and setting prescribed burns on the prairie.
Today as a practicing landscape architect he continues his land stewardship through the creation of parks designed for people's enjoyment and preservation and restoration of natural systems.
