Jonathan B. Krasner

Jonathan Krasner is the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel Associate Professor of Jewish Education Research at Brandeis University. He is most recently the co-author of "Hebrew Infusion: Language and Community in American Jewish Summer Camps" (Rutgers University Press, 2020). His book, "The Benderly Boys and American Jewish Education" (Brandeis University Press, 2011) was the winner of a 2011 National Jewish Book Award and a finalist for the 2012 Sami Rohr Prize for Jewish Literature. Jonathan is the co-author of a two-volume Jewish history textbook, "The History of the Jewish People: A Story of Tradition and Change" (Behrman House, 2007), and has also contributed essays to a number of books, including "Queer Jews" (Routledge, 2002). He is currently working on a book on the history of Jewish day school movement in North America. Jonathan lives with his partner and two children in Lexington, Massachusetts.
