Mala Devlin

Mala Devlin is a poet at heart and has been writing her entire life. She strives to create accessible poetry that moves people to feel deeply about the human experience. She believes that poetry should have great illustrations, color and feeling - not just words. Her poetic inspiration comes from her close circle of friends, who share many candid experiences about the joys and challenges of motherhood, life, work and everything else.

By day, Mala is an engineering leader in Silicon Valley. She has over 25 years of software engineering experience and has been fortunate to work with some amazing teams. Her first two books are about growing strong engineering teams and encouraging young women to pursue STEM careers.

Mala is a mother to three young adults, who continue to surprise, challenge and amaze her. In her free time, she is pursuing her creative interests, engaging with the community, and exploring the great outdoors.
