Tony D. Sampson

Tony D. Sampson is Reader in Digital Culture at the University of East London. He received his Ph.D from the Department of Sociology at the University of Essex.

He is co-editor of the Spam Book (2009), author of Virality: Contagion Theory in the Age of Networks (Minnesota University Press, 2012), The Assemblage Brain: Sense Making in Neuroculture (Minnesota University Press, 2017) and is currently co-editing Affect and Social Media (Rowman and Littlefield, 2018).

Tony is the organizer of the Affect and Social Media conferences and a co-founder of Club Critical Theory.
