Angela E. Monay (1972- ) was born Frenchell E. Hardwick in Long Beach, California. Although most of her childhood was spent in Oklahoma City, OK, her heart has always belonged to California. After graduating from Northwest Classen High school, Ms Monay went on to attend the historical black university, Langston, where she majored in Elementary Education. In 1995, during her senior year in college, she quit school, joined the United States Navy, and became a Construction Mechanic, a SEABEE.
Throughout her life adventures, Ms. Monay can always be found with a book in her clutches. Taught at an early age by her beloved mother that a book can take a person to places that they have never been, she still believes this saying to be true. She is a lover of urban, romance, and street literature and is a firm believer that a person can not write about what they do not know about. In her spare time, she loves her reality television, the San Antonio Spurs, and reading. She is the author of two novels, The Test of Time and The Test of Love . She is currently at work on her third novel, Time Heals All.
Angela and her 4 dogs, Sassy, Blu, Lucious Maxwell and Lola reside in Houston, Texas.
