Bill Stauss grew up in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He obtained a Bachelors degree in Engineering and a Masters in Human Relations from the University of Oklahoma. All previous literary efforts have been short technical pieces written in support of his various degrees. The published novel, “Billy’s World,” is Stauss’s first effort at writing fiction.
Stauss is a petroleum engineer and college professor. He has drilled wells in the Gulf of Mexico, the arctic islands and the Canadian Rockies. He has explored for oil in the jungles of Venezuela. He has operated a deep gas well testing company in Texas and Oklahoma. Bill now lives in Tulsa, Oklahoma. For much of his travels in the oil fields of Oklahoma and Texas there was always a comrade by his side. His name was Billy Bob, an American Staffordshire Bull
Terrier…a pit bull.
