Dianna Doles Petry

Dianna Doles Petry was born in Montgomery, West Virginia, in 1959. Her father was a World War II veteran and coal miner. Her mother was a domestic engineer who took her job seriously. Dianna chose to live her life in the same general area of her birth and feels a great responsibility to the community and the needs of women worldwide. Her poetry often reflects her thoughts on current events, the past, the future, and the plight our children face today because parents fail to teach them self-restraint or self-discipline in the home.

Dianna has been published in several magazines and her poetry and short stories have been featured on hundreds of web sites. Her compliation of personal essays and short stories, "Memories," was first published in 2002 and will soon be republished and available for readers to enjoy. She is currently working on her second collection of poetry, "Solace for the Soul."
