I'm an airline captain and aviation nerd bon vivant. Grew up in England, but now settled in Harvard, Massachusetts, in the country northwest of Boston. I fly the Airbus A320 to pay my bills at the glider club, where I can sometimes be found using the callsign 'Maximus Liftimus'.

I've had magazine articles published in Air Facts, Air Line Pilot, Airliners, Airways, Aviation Consumer, Flight Training, IFR, Professional Pilot, and Sky & Telescope. Also wrote a chapter of 'Silverbird: The American Airlines Story'.
