Victor DiGenti is an award-winning author, biographer, ghostwriter, and publisher whose writing career has ranged from fantasy and mystery to biography, memoir, family history, and short fiction.
His first novels were the award-winning Windrusher trilogy, adventure fantasies featuring a decidedly independent feline protagonist. Writing under the pen name Parker Francis, he later turned to mystery and suspense with the Quint Mitchell Mystery series—Matanzas Bay, Bring Down the Furies, and Hurricane Island. His short fiction has appeared in numerous anthologies and collections, including Ghostly Whispers, Secret Voices and the recently published Every Living Thing: Eight Stories of Mystery, Loss & Redemption.
For more than a decade, Vic has also worked as a professional ghostwriter and biographer, helping people preserve remarkable lives and family histories in book form. His subjects have included World War II veterans, business leaders, entrepreneurs, and men and women whose personal journeys deserved to be remembered. Through his independent imprint, Windrusher Hall Press, he has also helped other writers edit, produce, and publish their books.
Before turning to writing full-time, Vic spent much of his professional life in public broadcasting in Northeast Florida, where his varied roles included producer, director, reporter, fundraiser, and producer of the Jacksonville Jazz Festival. He has taught writing classes at the University of North Florida and presented workshops and programs for writers throughout Florida and beyond.
A longtime member of the writing community, Vic is a member of the Florida Writers Association, International Thriller Writers, and the Association of Ghostwriters. He also serves on the board of the Beaches Museum in Jacksonville Beach.
He lives in Northeast Florida with his wife and their rescued cats, who remain unimpressed by his literary accomplishments but maintain a keen interest in his ability to operate a can opener.
