Goran Powell

Goran Powell is a teacher, writer and martial artist with a 6th Dan in Goju Ryu Karate. In 2006 his first book 'Waking Dragons' was an instant bestseller on Amazon's martial arts listing and is now in its second edition. More recently, Goran's novels include award-winning historical fiction titles 'A Sudden Dawn' and 'Chojun', and the Cold War thriller 'Matryoshka'.

His non-fiction 'Every Waking Moment' is a training manual for one of karate's toughest tests, the 30 Man Kumite, and 'Karate on a Cushion' is his own experience of Zen mediation and discussion.
