Jake Shannon

Jake Shannon is a pioneer in the revival of authentic catch-as-catch-can wrestling and a premier performance coach for high-ticket entrepreneurs. As the founder of Scientific Wrestling, Shannon sparked a global movement in 2003 to rescue the "lost science" of the shooters from the theatricality of modern entertainment.

Mentored by wrestling legends Karl Gotch, Billy Robinson, and Wade Schalles—Shannon spent years documenting the unvarnished science of coaching for the win. His latest work, NO GAS, NO RUN with Karl Gotch, serves to bridge the gap between Golden Age combat expertise and modern athletic coaching.

Beyond the mat, holds a Master of Science in Financial Engineering, twice earned Grant Cardone's 10X Performance Coach of the Year (2024, 2025), and is the creator of the Sportify Operating System, a business methodology that applies the ruthless discipline of high-level athletic coaching to corporate scaling and culture. He has authored more than a dozen books, is a best-selling instructor for BJJFanatics, and is credited with launching the modern fitness mace movement after inventing the Macebell in 2006.

Whether he is coaching a CEO on AI Revenue Operations or a fighter on the physics of leverage, timing, and balance, Jake’s mission remains the same: Play to Dominate.

Jake lives in Arvada, Colorado with his wife of 20 years and his three children.
