Scott Farrell

Scott Farrell just loves a good story - whether it's reading one, writing one, or performing one on stage! Scott's published short stories range from a steampunk retelling of one of Shakespeare's comedies, to a psychological horror tale in which a Christmas devil from German folklore terrorizes a rural Pennsylvania neighborhood, to a heroic battle set in the world of Joss Whedon's "Buffy The Vampire Slayer."

When not writing fiction, Scott is also a prolific freelance writer and journalist. His work has appeared in print and on-line media around the world, including the New York Times, Men Today, Military History Quarterly, Darling, and many other consumer and trade publications. He currently works as the "freelance corespondent for the competitive jousting field" for Renaissance Magazine.

Between writing projects (or when procrastinating on deadline) Scott teaches historical sword combat at San Diego's Lionheart Fencing Academy and Team Touche Fencing Center. He also swings swords (and even delivers lines of dialogue) as one of the teaching artists with the Encinitas-based Intrepid Shakespeare Company.
