Private Revolutions (2010, U of Arizona Press), is centered on the economies and ecologies of private cattle ranches in Sonora, Mexico. The stories about horse-racing and being shot at, however, did not make the book.
His latest book, Unsettled Waters (2018, University of California Press), is centered on the process of water rights adjudication, and the impacts and effects on water users across cultures in the state of New Mexico.
