Charles B. Moss

Chuck grew up on a cattle and wheat farm in Western Oklahoma. He received his B.S. in Agricultural Economics and Accounting from Oklahoma State University in 1982 and his M.S. in Agricultural Economics in 1984. He continued his studies in Agricultural Economics at Purdue University and received his Ph.D. in 1987. He joined the faculty at the University of Florida's Food and Resource Economics Department in 1987. His research has primarily focused on the areas of financial risk and stress in the farm sector. Chuck received the Journal of Agricultural and Resource Economics Outstanding Journal Article in 2006, the American Agricultural Economics Association Quality of Research Discovery Award in 2007, and was recognized with the Southern Agricultural Economics Association Lifetime Achievement Award in 2013.
