Judy Stead

Judy grew up in a small town in North Carolina. Her house was two blocks from the town library, where many long summer days were spent between the covers of books. In college, Judy majored in her two favorite subjects, reading and drawing, an endlessly useful combination for her chosen profession, illustrating children's books.

She now lives in Charlotte, NC and has illustrated over twelve books for children. It was a great honor to be asked to both write and illustrate THE TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS IN NORTH CAROLINA!
