John Lichty's first book, "Raising Charlie: The Lessons of a Perfect Dog", was published in August 2009. It tells the story of his and his wife Nan's beloved golden retriever, Charlie, who taught them important lessons about life while battling terminal cancer. It is both a tribute to a special dog and a celebration of the bond between dogs and their owners.
John is currently at work on his next book, "Twelve Stories and a Romance", a collection of short stories drawn from his imagination and life experiences. If you would like to read one of the stories, entitled "Mathew Brady's Assistant (A Fictional History)", please copy and paste this link into your browser: http://whisperingjesse.blogspot.com/2010/02/mathew-bradys-assistant-fictional.html.
John lives in Grand Junction, Colorado, with his wife, Nan, and his new golden retriever, Scout. When not working as an IT professional, he enjoys sailing, skiing and playing guitar.
