Hans Krabbendam is assistant director of the Roosevelt Study Center in Middelburg, the Netherlands.He holds an M.A. degree from Kent State University in Ohio and a Ph.D. degree in American history from Leiden University in the Netherlands. His doctoral dissertation "The Model Man: A Life of Edward W. Bok, 1863-1930" was published in 2001. His research interests are immigration history, U.S. diplomatic and religious history. He is one of the editors of a 1,200 page handbook on four centuries of Dutch-American relations published by Boom Publishers Amsterdam and the State University of New York Press in Albany.
