I’ve always been passionate about storytelling and impressed by the influence it has on people and the decisions they make in life. I love engaging with the projects I work on, diving headfirst into the research, investigation, and production of stories I feel are worth writing, and at times, using photography to convey a story. I'm a curious individual with many influences from around the world.
The romantic comedy series flows out of my first-hand knowledge of the wedding business having worked as a wedding coordinator at a church and at a professional wedding site in Southern California, catering weddings, providing floral creations, and being a bridesmaid too many times to count. I challenge you not to laugh while reading them!
Spending three months on a short-term mission trip with Greater Europe Mission sparked a lifelong interest in the people of the world. As a result, I have worked at two different mission organizations -- one that focused on Japan and then another for over 19 years - Medical Ambassadors International (MAI).
Through MAI, I served for six years as the facilitator for the International Council which gathered organizational representatives from around the world for a week-long meeting. My focus at MAI is as the Media & Communications Coordinator. In that position, I headed an editorial team and wrote articles for a mission-focused magazine, wrote over 60 Public Service Announcements broadcast over 700 radio stations and numerous press releases, many of which were used as-is as articles.
I love to travel internationally and have had the opportunity to visit Central America, South Korea, Thailand, Kenya, the Dominican Republic, and throughout Europe. This exposure to the world has sparked my curiosity and allowed it to grow.
