Michael A. Innes

Michael A.K.G. Innes (PhD, School of Oriental and African Studies) is a London-based academic and researcher. Covering conflicts across Africa, Asia and the Middle East for the last twenty years, he has worked in Afghanistan, Bosnia–Herzegovina, Côte d’Ivoire, Indonesia and most recently, north east Nigeria and the Lake Chad Basin area of Africa's Sahel region. In 2003–9, he was a civilian analyst and advisor with NATO, first in the Balkans and last at Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe in Casteau, Belgium.
