William T. Ayton is a British artist currently residing in the Hudson Valley of upstate New York, where he lives with his wife, Diana Ayton-Shenker, & their children. He has published several books of his own artwork, as well as the collaboration with poet Eliot Katz, "Love, War, Fire, Wind: Looking Out from North America's Skull." His work deals with social issues, myth, imagination, & the human condition. His artwork has been seen & published widely.
Ayton's recent works include "Scenes from The Puppet Oresteia" in collaboration with NZ poet, Jack Ross; and a new noir visual crime novel collaboration with US writer/playwright Donald J. Rothschild, "Shadow Bay". This book contains around 380 illustrations, but is not technically speaking a graphic novel due to the lack of word balloons, etc.
Shadow Bay can be previewed at shadowbaynoir.blogspot.com. Ayton's main web site is www.ayton.net.
