This true to life story powerfully represents timely and pertinent issues that include the link between mental illness and genetic predisposition, stigma, overwhelming grief and loss, as well as hopelessness through the eyes of one woman watching her parents, uncles, cousins, siblings, children and eventually herself, become part of the silent, and misunderstood club known as the mentally ill. Biography

SJ Hart has a Masters Degree in Health Education. She was a practicing clinician in dual diagnosis treatment for over 32 years, with children, adolescents, adults and families in every level of treatment winning several awards. She was also a CADC for 12 years. Mrs. Hart has been interviewed on the radio, in magazines, taught over 40 times in the US, as well as Canada and Australia where she was invited to sit on a panel of notable experts while in Australia. Her book is available in over 100 countries, and she is a member of the Australian & New Zealand Mental Health Association Inc. SJ Hart was honored with The Maxie Collier Award for “significant contributions to the Field of Mental Health”, and had the opportunity to receive a literary review from the professional advocate Martin Sheen. In 2014 her book was placed in the Library of Medicine The National Institute of Health, listed as an invaluable resource, and the World Catalogue of Public Libraries.She also wrote a prominent chapter (author) in Motherhood, Mental Illness and RecoveryŠ 2014 Stories of Hope (Chapter 40)
