Joe Boyd has forged a unique dual career as both an entertainment professional and an ordained Christian minister.
Joe has been the Teaching Pastor at Vineyard Community Church in Cincinnati, Ohio since 2007. Joe helped to plant Canyon Ridge Christian Church and Apex Church in Las Vegas in the 1990's before embarking on a career as a professional actor, writer and film producer in Los Angeles.
Joe is an actor (SAG/AFTRA) with a strong improvisational background. An alumni of The Groundlings (Los Angeles) and The Second City Training Center (Las Vegas), Joe has performed nation-wide in over 1,000 stage shows including a 500-show run as Michael Just in the Broadway/Las Vegas company of Tony n' Tina's Wedding.
Joe's film and television credits include recurring roles on ABC's General Hospital and Fox's American Heiress.
As a screenwriter and producer, Joe's first film Happily After Forever won several festival awards including Best Romantic Comedy at The New York Film and Video Festival (2005). His most recent project, Hitting The Nuts: The True Story of the Scott County Series of Poker, is slated for a late 2010 release. Joe founded Rebel Pilgrim Productions in 2005. The company is currently producing its fourth film, a faith-based romantic comedy set for a 2011 theatrical release.
Joe is also the Teaching Pastor at Vineyard Community Church in Cincinnati, Ohio, a 6,000-member church that believes "small things done with great love will change the world." Through VCC, Joe produced The Road to Emmaus, PA in 2008. Emmaus is a documentary about three seekers searching for God on the road from Jerusalem, Ohio to Emmaus, Pa.
