A native of the American South, Jayne is a wife, mother, grandmother, educator, and writer. The latter two roles were helpful in the publication of Human Relations in Industry: People at Work (Jayne Crolley, Prentice-Hall, 1989), a textbook designed for use in community colleges. Her roles in the family and friend arenas set the stage for Musings of a Missionary Mom, a volume of thoughts and insights written while her son was serving a two-year mission in Torreon, Mexico. In 2012, she published Eve's Sisters, a compilation of essays applying psychological principles to the lives of the women of the Bible and those of women today.
Now semi-retired and teaching as an adjunct for two technical/community college, Jayne teaches online psychology courses, maintains three blogs, and has completed eBook and hard copy versions of a book geared towards student success in two-year colleges. Entitled Crossing the Bridge: Succeeding in Community Colleges and Beyond, the book is filled with practical advice based on the author's 30+ years of teaching. Also included are numerous student stories, comments, and quotes.
Jayne's most recent publication, Serving Up Memory, is an anthology created by a local writers' group. Filled with stories, poems, recipes, and photographs of Camden writers, the collection is a nostalgic nod to days gone by and to the people who made them memorable.
