Voted the most popular and personable lecturer ever to board a Regent Seven Seas Cruise vessel, Terry Breen is a product of a Czech mother and a Shakespearean actor father. So she comes by her passion and stage presence naturally - to the benefit of all who have the opportunity to hear her speak. She did her doctoral studies in cultural anthropology and used her academic experience to transition to the world of travel where in-depth knowledge of people and places is essential. She has lived and traveled throughout Latin America and was employed by several international airlines and tourism boards in the region. In 1990, she traded her wings for waves when she first began working onboard cruise ships in South America. As of 2011, she has sailed around Cape Horn 45 times and through the Panama Canal 76 times!
As a lecturer her intimate love of her subject matter makes her presentations a "must see" on any ship, in any destination. Now you can share in the enthusiasm she imparts to her audience through her personal insights contained in The Cruiser Friendly Onboard Guides. "As we sail through places like Alaska's Inside Passage or down the Amazon, I get asked questions all the time - often the same questions! Through the encouragement of our guests I have compiled that information into handy guides. I wrote what cruise guests want to know - not about the ports or the land excursions - but rather about the incredible things seen from the ship! No one else has yet to write anything like it - I really don't know of too many people with the same experience who can! I am in a unique position of having had an academic background that prepared me to understand the areas we visit plus years of onboard experience listening to what you - the cruising public - want to see and know. I hope you will find the information in The Cruiser Friendly Onboard Guides to be useful, fun and informative!"
