Bo Kane

Bo Kane is an actor who loves working with kids. He's directed kids' casting sessions in Los Angeles for over 20 years, and has taught hundreds and hundreds of working actors in his classes.

In his acting career Bo has guest starred on television shows such as NCIS: Origins, Disney's "Just Roll With It", 9-1-1 Lone Star, NCIS, "Jane the Virgin", "The Orville", "Criminal Minds", "How To Get Away With Murder", "Brooklyn 99", "Colony", "Castle", "Workaholics" "Dexter" "90210" "CSI: Miami", Men Of A Certain Age, The Defenders, Outlaw, FlashForward, The Unit, and worked in films like Cowboy/Indian Wedding, The Ringer (playing Johnny Knoxville's coach), Remember Me: The Mahalia Jackson Story, Man Of The House, Camouflage (with Bug Hall). And if you go back to before his kids were born, Bo was on Party of Five, The Phantom, General Hospital, What's Love Got To Do With It (as Dick Clark) and many other shows and commercials. Bo and Denise have two kids in the business; their son works as an actor in television and film (The Santa Clauses, Never Have I Ever, Suits LA, Godless, CSI, Family Reunion, Henry Danger, Lethal Weapon, Bizaardvark, Sam & Cat, Criminal Minds etc.); their daughter graduated from UCLA with a film degree and works as a producer at NFL Films.

"Acting Monologues and Scenes For Kids!" and "Acting Scenes and Monologues For Young Teens" are collections of original monologues and scenes designed to stretch, enlighten, and amuse the young actor . The subjects are wide and varied, as are the actions and reactions of the actors. Some are funny, some are dramatic; most are set in present-day, some are period pieces. There are also "Notes From The Coach" sprinkled throughout the books--tips, questions, and suggestions to help the young actor get into character and perform.

Bo grew up in Indiana, received his degree from nearby University of Notre Dame. He's worked on farms, ranches, in steel mills (on the blast furnaces with a shovel and a jackhammer) and in corporate life as a marketing and finance manager. He's been a newspaper columnist -Post-Tribune and The Times - and a news reporter and anchorman for CBS affiliates (more 'Ron Burgandy' than Tom Brokaw). A varied career that still has more chapters to write.
