Born and raised in Buffalo New York, Thomas Laub earned his B.A. at St. Lawrence University and an MA in European history at American University in Washington, D.C. After completing a PhD in modern European history at the University of Virginia, he taught European and Japanese history at Sweet Briar College and Longwood University in central Virginia. A member of Phi Beta Kappa, Dr. Laub has presented papers at scholarly conferences in both Europe and the United States. He currently teaches history at Delta State University and has begun to research the laws of war in the Twentieth Century.
